I really like the old school americana tattoo art and want to use some of Sailor Jerry artwork on some labels. I know they are cw and wondering if I can get into any trouble using them on my homebrew labels. I don't plan on selling any of them so it's not like a lot of people would see it, but just curious.

definitely is possible.

But i doubt even the owner of the rights seeing those labels somehow at a party or as a picture on this forum would care one bit. But chances of that are 1 in a million, and if you do happen to get caught im sure sure all youd have to do is stop printing them.

Its not illegal using them for personal use... untill you show them to someone that is

If one of your friends reports you to the copywrite police because of homebrew labels, than that friend is a dink and deserves a punch in the nose.

I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure that you can use it as long as you don't claim it as your own or profit from it in any way.
