This may be a stupid question, but I have a roll of copper tubing to turn into a immersion chiller and wanted to use copper wire to keep it more rigid. Can I use the same copper used for house wiring (the ground wire) or does it have some kind of additive in it like I dunno led or something? I wasn't sure if it was considered "pure" copper! :cross:

Thanks guys,

Mark

Copper used for electrical wire is very pure at least 99.95% pure.

In fact electrical wire is one of the few copper products that is made from virgin copper instead recycled copper because of the purity required.
