Is it true that adding a copper pipe to the boil will actually make my yeast healthier? And do i remove the pipe after the boil or do i leave it in during fermentation as well?

Well it's only trace elements of copper that is needed to help the yeast. but Zinc is the thing that wort needs help with the most. I don't think you want to add a zinc plate or pipe to my wort. I do have a simple copper output pipe in my kettle. it was the easy to use.

Or you could just drop your copper immersion chiller in toward the end of the boil. Kill two birds with one stone, sort of thing. ;)
