I'm just about ready to go all grain, just need to get a chiller. I plan on doing 10 gallon batches in the near future so I figured I'd make an immursion chiller with 50ft of 3/8" copper tubing.

After seeing a price tag of $68 at the local Home Depot I began to look online. I was able to find 2 x 50ft (3/8) for $75. It just came in today, but on the box it says "MAX USE TEMP 180F/82C".

Did I buy the wrong type of copper tubing? Are there different types? Or is this warning just for other uses of this tubing?

Thanks

and you'd be surprised how quickly an IC will drop boiling wort to under 180F as well.
