coopers stout bottling.

Got a coopers stout ready to get bottled and primed,using grolsch swing top bottles.Thinking of priming with 1 teaspoon of demerera.Would this be ok?

That's hit & miss at best. Get a bottling bucket & bulk prime. Here's a priming calculator to figure it all out; http://www.tastybrew.com/calculators/priming.html Demerara sugar is nice for priming. It adds a bit more complexity to the beer. Moreso if used in the recipe.
