I have a 10 gal cooler that use for a mash tun, and on my last brew I sprung a leak. I didnt leak test so I was doughing in when I noticed the leak. It wasn't terribly bad so I decided to finish the mash and sparge as usual. Well, come the next brew day I see a ring of white mold in between the layers of the cooler, where the insulation is. My ball valve was leaking into the inside of the cooler, and filled it up before it leaked to the outside. Once again I didnt worry about it since I had fixed the leak and the wort had to be boiled after the mash anyway. Now today I was messing around in my brew closet and could smell the mash tun from the door.

Try to clean it? (I have already been doing this)
or buy a new cooler?
or not worry about it.
