So I pitched too warm and now have a hot batch with high fusels - wondering if I can salvage some use of the beer by using it to cook with on some recipes that call for beer. Has anyone cooked with these beers?

seveal years agao I brewed a Dark Belgian and fermented it way to hot. Terrible fusels. It was undrinkable. Good flavor otherwise so I have been using it up for cooking. I make a great braised duck legs and thigs with leeks and dried cherries and use the Belgian brew for the braising liquid. IT is awesome.

Good to hear, thanks......I figured the fusels will burn off but didnt know if any aftertaste was left.....I'll try a couple of recipes and see how it goes
