I've seen that old kegs are converted into kettles, but I haven't been able to find anything about converting old propane tanks into kettles. I've got a 10 gallon propane tank that I thought could be a good sized kettle once it's emptied and cleaned out of the propane. Thoughts on this conversion?

Zinc plated carbon steel, if my 40 gallon propane tank is indicative...

Cheers!

Make a nice fire pit from the tank, instead.

You don't want to brew beer in a kettle made from a propane tank. Unless you enjoy lots of iron flavor.
