Consensus on IBU calculation

I'm considering an ambitious brewing software project, and would like to get a general consensus on how brewers are calculating their IBUs. Provide as much or as little detail, every bit helps.

I use Brewer's Friend to calculate everything. Along with time, allows you to input boil size, hop variety and AA, hop form (plug, pellet, fresh, leaf), and usage (FWH, boil, dry, etc.).
