Years ago I had a slick setup for carbed tap water in my kegerator. 1.5-gallon corny keg with carbonator lid, hooked up to house water supply so it never ran out.

Lost the kegerator in a house fire and gave up brewing, but I'd like to recreate the infinite seltzer setup in my kitchen fridge if possible.

Are there any innovative products out there to create a very compact setup to carbonate tap water? I have the waterline in the door and I could steal that. But even a mini-keg would take up too much space in the fridge. A half gallon would be about the right size.

Can you use a 2L Coke bottle? Maybe that, a cap tee, and a couple of carb caps from Kegland would fit the need. The only thing is height might be an issue. Cheap and easy.

Kegland Cap Tee

There's also their 4L (1 Gallon) Oxebar also, but I think you have to use their specific cap for it (the tee linked above won't fit), which makes it a bit more expensive when everything is purchased.

I think this is about the smallest corny keg I know of that will accept the commercially produced continuous carbonation lids. It’s a half gallon and 5.9W x 9.9H.
You could probably use one of the small 1 gallon growler options at 5.25W x 12.75H (plus the height of the lid) maybe even lay it on its side, or the 64oz growlers at around 5.5W x 7.8W but then you would need to work out check valves etc on your own.
