I have been looking at commercially built structures and am looking at the Stainless Steel Specialists brewing commerade (bc-50) does anyone have this? What is your experience? The price seems to be better than the Brewmagic or morebeer sculptures.

Here is a link to it: PRODUCTS and SERVICES

Thanks,
Doug

Looking at the pictures and the customization they do, I don't see how it could ever be cheaper than something that's mass produced like Sabco or B3.

Just noticed that they're only an hour and a half or so from me (about 30 mins north of Montreal, Canada). Interesting! They also have customers that have setups I've seen in person. Cool. I've sent them an email about what products they make for home brewers and approximate costs.

Got a price list today for the BC-50 setup. I'm not entirely sure what's included as it's vague and the names are unclear. Certainly no where near the price of B3 and Sabco setups as I would have assumed. It's considerably more expensive. At least twice if not 3 or 4 times more. Not sure as again, it's unclear exactly what you get for your money from this price list.
I'm not saying it's not worth that however - it does seem like really good stuff.

I would suggest that if anyone in interested in a high end custom made setup that you contact the company yourself and get more details.

I'm also assuming the prices are in Canadian. ($1 CAD = $0.78 USD)

Again, it's all pretty vague. fittings and sizes are unknown. As expected as they mostly do custom work for brew pubs and the like.

Kal,

That is the price list I got. I was assuming canadian dollars (approx 6k us dollars). The brew comerad comes with a conical fermenter with chill plate and that is why I think it is more cost effective than some of the other sculptures. Did you say in your post that you know some people who have this setup and have seen it? If so, what did you think?

Doug

No, I mentioned that I had seen some of the custom work that this company had done for microbreweries - on a much larger scale. Not the BC-50 which is a small scale brewery for home use.
