Commercial Beer Keg for Kegerator Dispensing

Apologies if this is the wrong sub-forum. If I pick up a commercial 1/6 keg from the store to use in my home kegerator, do I need a sanke coupler? It looks like I would have to buy a "D" type coupler and a conversion kit if I wanted to dispense commercial beer from my kegerator however I couldn't find a definitive answer. I'm waiting on two batches to finish fermenting and I'm getting antsy to start dispensing beer! All in all it doesn't seem worth it and I'll just wait patiently and maybe set my kegerator up with some seltzer in the meantime.

Yes, you'll need one of those plus the conversion fittings. Sanke D type couplers are the most common version used in the USA...
