Does Cold Crashing cider work for clearing the cider like I would do with beer?

So if I put my cider that has been fermenting for 3 weeks in the fridge that will stop fermintation and clear the cider when the yeast falls out of suspension. Then I put it into the 2nd fermentation or should I do that first. which would make more sense. sorry for the new guy rmbeling..

I would say before, then when it's transferred to the secondary it will be nice and clear when bottling time comes. I transferred mine today without cold crashing and it was pretty clear. It's been in its primary since 4/20.
