I brewed a kahlua brown ale in the fall that turned out fantastic and I kind of have an itch to do something different again.

I’m thinking of putting an extract pale ale together with a little cointreau in it. I figured cointreau would go well with a subtle citrusy pale ale. The recipe would be pretty simple something like the following:

5 gallons

7 # light LME
½ # caramel 20L
½ # cara-pils
Citrus flavored hops at about 30-35 IBUS
Chico Strain yeast
6 to 8 ounces of cointreau in secondary

What do you guys think?

I am partial to cointreau so I am going to venture to say this beer will probably taste really good and be unique as well. Go for it and let me know how it turns out.
