Should work until it's down to less pressure than your carbonation pressure. But once the pressure on the tank gauge starts dropping, it means you are out of liquid so it's just about gone.

CO2 is like propane in that it's mostly liquid in the tank until the liquid runs out, you won't see much of a pressure drop.
 
Thanks for the info. I think mine is about beat. I have and extra and a new regulator coming tomorrow....keep your fingers crossed!
 
Cute. But perhaps overstating the effect of Gay-Lussac's law.
Given it only takes about 20 psi out of the cylinder to do useful things wrt beer dispensing (accounting for regulator minimum differential) the extractable volume convergence is pretty tight at any temperature...

Though I admittedly jumped at the chance to use the ideal gas law phrase where CO2 is not, if you follow the general principal or the graph, or try it for yourself, you'll likely experience similar results. I've basically gotten one more 1/4 BBL of service out of several 20lb tanks by relocating them from inside my garage fridge to outside the fridge in much warmer temperatures. Think 34*-90*F. I have not tried it when garage temps are equal to or less than fridge temps since I now occupy that space with a second keg.
