Used cinnamon sticks inside my brew for the last five minutes of my boil. Anyone ever tried using cinnamon? How did it turn out?

I'm planning on adding some cinnamon sticks to a blonde I just brewed yesterday. I didn't put it in the boil but plan on adding it to the ferment. I was told to boil the sticks first then put them in the fermentor.

I did a 10g batch and have split it between 2 5g carboys. In one I will use the cinnamon and the other I'm adding honey.

I added to the boil 5 minutes before. It recommends using 4 inches of bark. We used 6 inches in a 5 gallon. It's an experimental batch to figure out how to handle it come Christmas time. Excited for the outcome. Unfortunately as of yesterday the fermentation was progressing very slowly. Concerned the yeast may have been to warm.
