If I were to make a Cider following EdWort's Apfelwine recipe but without adding the 2 lb of Dextrose sugar, what should I expect for the end product in terms of ABV? I want to make a cider, but I would like the end product to end at around 6% ABV; could I expect this if I would do the later?

Straight juice or cider will have a sg of about 1.045-1.055 which should lead to an abv of anywhere between 5-6.5% usually. So no sugar added will be perfect for you.

Thanks for the info; can't wait to give it a try.
