I've got a cream ale fermenting away right now, and I plan on my next batch being an apple cider/perry hybrid and am going to use my yeast i harvest from the cream ale batch. the cream ale is using WLP080 which is an ale/lager blend that attenuates 75-80% and is supposed to ferment fairly clean.

anyone have any experience using this yeast for a cider? Do you think it will come out tasting nice, or will it be weird?

are there any special steps/considerations to ensure a healthy fermentation? I know apple juice doesn't have the same nutrients as beer wort so I was planning on using yeast nutrient, and maybe energizer.

any thoughts? Or am i just crazy?

how about anyone that's used a clean ale yeast or a lager yeast for a cider?
