Cider Noob

I have made one batch of cider so far. It wasn too good. Looking to do another soon but I am looking to do something different. I will use regular applejuice as well as apple juice from concentrate. However, instead of a wine yeast I am thinking about using an ale yeast. What do you guys think?

I use ale yeasts all the time for cider. Nottingham is my favorite, and Safale S-04 is a close second.
