Hello everyone , Im new to home brewing and since extract may be a little hard to find where i live ( quebec , canada ) i wish to start all-grain. I know it requires more equipment but hey ! it's still a lot more fun.:)

I wanted to know if the burner i just bought will do the thing for a full boil of a 5 gallon batch.

This is an outdoor propane burner with 72,000 Btus

i know there might be some other thread with the same topic but their kind of old and i wanted to be sure about THIS particular burner

Thank you all !

The Blichmann burner is 72000 BTUs, and is one of the best out there. Just going on BTUs alone doesn't mean all too much, it's really how efficient those BTUs are, but anything over about 55000 or so BTUs will heat 5-10 gallons of water to strike temps and then wort to boiling temps in 15-30 minutes, so very effective for the homebrewer's purposes.
