Choosing Grapes

Hi, I am planning on making red grape wine next season. Would CABERNET SOUVIGNION be a good choice for an easy drinking red wine? or you would suggest another grape variety?

I love cabs but I don't know if it's "easy drinking". I mean, it is to me, but I love big bold tannic reds.

What do you like? That'd be a great place to start.

I prefer one a little bit fruity and a little bit of tannin. Maybe merlot would be better?

Pinot noir would be a better choice. Its lighter and easier drinking than cab.
