Hey All-

Just got a D-Handle 1/2" 10 amp corded drill from harbor freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=47991

Suhweeeet! A great price for such a powerful drill, too! I'm gonna hook it up to my BarleyCrusher. Anyone else have chicago power tools? I may stick with this brand, as it seems to be pretty well made for household projects, etc. I'll let you know how it works....I think I'm gonna do the 08-08-08 RIS tomorrow.

Chicago tools are good for around the house. I have a few I use at home. Its not somethin Id take to work. It would be trashed in a month, but im really hard on tools.

it all depends on what you get and how you use them. They do wear out, but for most general use, they hold their own.

Use some discretion in what you get from HF, a few of the tools really aren't up to the task.

I'll let you know how it goes. I only plan on using it for my mill, maybe a few jobs requiring a bigger bit.....but it'll be better than milling by hand.

I have one of those that I used to run my mill for a few months. I got a good deal on a motor shortly thereafter, so I mounted that permanently, but the D-handle drill powered through the grain bill pretty well for the time I used it.
