Anyone have any good leads on a cheap grain mill? I was slowly gravitating towards going AG and buying bulk, until I was reminded about the necessity for a grain mill and I looked them up- way more expensive than I would have imagined and not something I had budgeted for (at least not right now). Anyone have any ideas or leads on good prices?

I've heard some mention that they like their Corona Mill and it's relatively inexpensive. But IMO the mill is not where you want to skimp. Get one that will give you a consistent crush & last a while. Search the forums. There have been gazillions of posts on mills & their features. Cheers!!!

With some adjustment, I've had great success with my corona. Probably 300lbs of grain through it so far, and still produces a great crush. Think I got mine for around 14 + shipping on ebay.

As hamilton stated, your main goal is a consistent crush. Ideally you want to get decent efficiency 75-80, but as long as it's predictable that's what really matters.

I've heard plenty of people say their Corona works well. My monster mill is too awesome though.

I use a modified pasta machine for my mill. The whole thing cost me a little over $20 to make. That was the cost of the pasta machine, i used materials i had around the house to make the hopper and base.
