Cheap eBay Corona Mill

I just bought one off of ebay (see here) and it is quite solid. I'm wondering if it is normal to have an inconsistent crush with these? My outer grinding wheel on this doesn't sit flush so when I crank it around there are small gaps and wide gaps that create flour during one half of the turn and grains passing right by during the other half of the turn. Any suggestions besides buying a really expensive one? Pretty frustrated as I wanted to brew this weekend... Damn

As a quick summary, a few washers for spacing and a bolt to replace the cotter pin can do wonders. There are also many different builds to keep the dust from flying.

If you don't have the time to read all 279 pages, I would simply say to tighten it up till there are no remaining whole grains....brew on!
