At the low end of IBU's for an IPA. A good initiation for those who are not hop heads

How did this one turn out? Was looking for a Galena + Cascade recipe, and here it is!

The first two weeks after I tapped the keg, it was fantastic. But, the hop flavor and aroma faded fast and after a month on tap, ended up more like a hoppy APA.

I have a V2.0 in primary now. I tweaked the hopping schedule, and added a dryhop. I'll post the updated recipe when I get home tonight.

Thanks for the update. I too was thinking of adding an ounce of cascade pellets for a dryhop. I will be bottling, so we'll see how the aroma does and I'll update in the future.

Limited, let Hagen have the final word here, but I imagine it would come out pretty close if you just changed out the 2 row for light or extra light extract, and kept the adjuncts and hops the same. In that case you would multiply 11.0 lbs x 0.6 for lbs DME or 0.75 for lbs LME needed.

Here's the final rendition of the AG recipe. The galena and columbus are pretty much interchangeable, with a gain/loss of a few IBU depending on AA values. They're in the boil long enough that they wqon't really impact flavor over all the cascade.
For extract, sub out the pale malt for 8lb, 6oz of light DME, and steep the crystal grains. Beersmith doesn't offer a solution for the munich, but you could mini-mash it with the crystal to get it as close to the recipe as possible.
