Caring for a scoby

I was gifted a scoby a few days ago. It is in a sealed mason jar. I can not start a batch with it for two months.
How do I keep my scoby happy and healthy until then?

put it in a dark place and dont let it dry out...you may even feed it a small amout of sweet tea but dont think its needed
