Carbonation - Pet bottles

Hey!

I am looking to fill my PET bottles with carbonated water (couldn't find the right place to post this).

However I have a few questions that concern me.

-How well does a Beergun work for filling PET bottles with carbonated water?
-Should I use a Beergun or a counter pressure filler and what is the difference?
-How long will the carbonation last in the pet bottle?

Another amateur question, can i adjust the carbonation level of the water anyhow?

I hit it with about 30psi and shake the crap out of the PET bottle. Guess you could change the carbonation level by adjusting that pressure and/or the amount you shake.
