I have not seen any post specific to my problem, so please redirect me if it has been answered elsewhere.
I am getting backflow into my CO2 gas line while using my Carbonating Lid attached with a diffuser stone. The stone sits at the bottom of my keg.
I find it strange that liquid is getting through the stone and then into my line, I guess the holes in the stone are big enough to allow for that?
How do i stop this from happening? Any suggestions or thoughts are much appreciated!

I've had that too. When I started kegging I tried all the carbonating shortcuts before I finally learned to just pressurize near freezing at 24-30 psi for 24 to 36 hours without using any extra doodad.
You don't actually need the stone.

Often folks have their CO2 line connected to a regulator or manifold shut-off valve that has an integrated "back-flow preventer" aka "check valve" to keep fluid from backing through. If your setup doesn't have that type of valve you might consider obtaining an in-line check-valve to insert into your CO2 line in the future to protect your regulator (and plumbing) from beer wash. They come in many forms and are often associated with aquariums...

Cheers!

Also, you have to keep the pressure in the CO2 line greater or equal to the pressure in the keg. If the pressure in the keg is greater than the CO2 regulator pressure, then liquid will flow up into the gas line. As said previously, a check valve can prevent liquid from making it back into the regulator.

thank you all very much for your comments!
i installed inline check valves in my gas lines
also i did not know about the differences in gas, so i will make sure to keep that in mind moving forward
