Carbonating in roto keg

Can I use carbonation drops when I put the ale into the keg to carbonate the ale , I have a few packets left over ?

Don't see why not, they work in bottles. However if it would make you feel better you could put then in a pot with bit of water and bring to a boil to make a sanitized priming solution and dump that in your keg.

Or you could save the tabs. Might at some point want to bottle a six pack while kegging the rest.
