Ok, SWMBO requested a Caramel Chocolate Coffee Stout and here is what I came up with. I based it loosely off of Lumpy Gravey's Caramel Coffee Stout

I have a few questions before I go diving into this. Here's the recipe;

So the questions are, could I melt the candies down in condensed milk and add that to the boil instead of adding just melted candies (which would be a PITA to do) and lactose. Basically, do you think condensed milk would make a gross or off flavor?

Have you thought of just making dulce de leche with sweetened condensed milk and forgetting about the candies altogether? You'll get that sweet caramel milky flavor w/o having to mess with melting candy. Just simmer a closed can of it, or as many as needed, for about 2-3 hours and cool.
