I made an IPL recently at ale temps. It was going great until I decide to bump it up even further at the end, now it tastes like alcohol (also it ended up being about 9%)
If it was a temp thing that gave it that alcohol can I still reuse the yeast, or does that mess up the yeast for future batches?

Thanks!

As a general principle it is best not to reuse yeast that has been in a high alcohol beer or otherwise stressed. You may not get consistent results in future generations.

That said ive done it, and it worked out fine, its just not best practice. If its 34/70 just buy another pack. If its some seasonal strain you want to use again, you could take the risk.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I just want to reuse it once. I live where any yeast is expensive and hard to get.
