Can I Mount a CIP Ball Horizontally?

Hey all,

Brewing for 1st time on new ebiab system and wondering if my CIP ball works sideways. I have a Spike CIP ball which will fit nice into the lid of my CF10, but I don't have a TC port in the lid of my 20gal kettle. I do have one for my kettle's heating element, though, low down. Can I mount it in that port to clean my kettle?

Yes.. but only if you have enough flow and pressure to keep the water washer ring full and obviously spinning...
Simple to test...

We had a great video we posted a loooong time ago with Becky holding a CIP ball sideways and running a March pump. It SOAKED her! It was soooo funny!
