Can I Carbonate With Cane Sugar?

No,if it's white cane sugar there won't be any difference. But I use demerara sugar (raw can sugar). It has a light brown sugar laced with honey flavor to it.
 
Slight difference in how much you would use to reach the same CO2 volumes, as shown on this site. I had really good results using it while I was bottle carbonating. I also enjoyed the slight flavor it gave the brew.
 
I just did yesterday. I think i used 3.5 ounces for a 5 gallon batch. The moistuer content is less so you dont have to use as much.
 
I use it all the time. You need to use 80% of the amount of corn sugar you would use. So if you used 5 ozs of corn sugar, you would need 4 ozs of cane sugar.
