Hello,

I am a new user of the group... Anyway. I am makin an Electric HLT using a cooler. Both of my electric elements were the type that bolt to through the wall of the cooler. So, to seal the bolt heads, I esed epoxy that is raited to 306 def (f). Anyway, is that going to be ok? Or so I need to seal over the epoxy? Will it cause funky junk to impart into my water?

If I need to seal over any epoky... will silicone do the trick?

I appriciate any feedback, thanks!

It really depends on the epoxy. If it's something like jb weld it's pretty inert maybe post what you used.

^^that

you might or might not taste anything off, but there still will be small amounts of chemicals that will leech into your beer unless your expoxy was food grade...

silicone would have been a much better choice.
