calories in beersmith

how accurate is beersmith in calculating calories? I've put in an Oatmeal stout and raspberry wheat, and both have 43 calories..

yeah, i had an RIS that weighed in at 591 cals!!!! I never told anyone....

I think it is pretty accurate. You do need to enter the actual OG and FG, it doesn't make a calorie value from the estimated gravities.

It is pretty accurate. I double checked against a formula I found once and it is accurate, but it's only as accurate as your OG and FG readings.

That seems really low. I've been using This site and the average for me is around 150 Calories.

beersmith defaults to 43 calories until you enter the FG.

And the defaults for Measured OG and FG are 1.010 and 1.005 respectively. That's 43 cal ultra light beer with 0.65% ABV.
