I just purchased a used kegerator that came with two tanks of beer gas. One appears to be mostly empty, but the other is full. I have a Dortmunder style lager going right now, but that won't be ready until March.
My plan is to get another beer going now and use up the almost empty tank of mixed gas on it, then exchange that one for CO2 for my lager. My question is, what brews (other than a Guinness, dry-style stout) would be a good one to brew and use with the mixed gas? Any good recipes for a Russian Imperial Stout? What about a hoppy American Black Ale?
One final note: my kegerator came with a stout faucet, so I have that to use for my next brew.
Thanks...and cheers!!!
