My kegged beers always seem a little under carbed, even after 3 weeks on the gas in the fridge with my regulator set at 12 psi. I was thinking about getting a shrader valve and hook it onto one of the lines coming off the regulator and getting an accurate tire pressure gauge to check / calibrate my regulator gauge. Has anyone done this and found their regulator to be substantially off enough to notice the carbonation to be low or high? Or is their a better cost effective way to check the accuracy of your regulator? I understand that tire pressure gauges can be off as well, but some of the digital ones are reported to be accurate within .5 psi.

Get a 1/4" gauge and mount it directly on a gas in connector. Then check your kegs directly. They sell cheap gauges and better ones. Try a second tier gauge ($15-$20)
