Buying Corn Sugar/Dextrose

I wanted to start buying corn sugar which correct me if I'm wrong is the same as dextrose from bulk barn a local store which sells it at a dollar per pound much cheaper then my LHBS. The only question I have is if because you scoop your own out of bins will I have to worry about contamination appose to buying it already packaged from my LHBS?

You're going to boil it to dissolve it before priming so not a problem.

It will be for EdWort's Apfelwein so no boiling will be done.

Did you end up buying the corn sugar at the Bulk Barn? I'm going to make Edworts Apfelwein, and am wondering where to get the Corn Sugar at a reasonable price. My local Sobey's doesn't supply it.

I'm not familiar with the recipe. Could you boil the corn sugar to sanitize it, cool the solution, and then make the addition?

The risk of contamination is the same. Buy in bulk and boil before use (like you where going to do anyway right ;-))
