The 2007 crop should have just been picked last month...I think it's a false crisis to raise prices...

I am sure it takes a while from the time the hops are picked to the time they get to the LHBS...they probably go to a distributor first, possibly someone who pelletizes them (maybe the distributor does this, maybe the hop growers do this?), and then finally to the homebrew stores. They also usually test the crops first to get the correct alpha amounts and so forth, so it takes time.
