burner problems

i have a banjo kab4 that is several years old. i fired it up for the first time in 4-5 months today and just couldn't get a powerful flame. anyone have a problem like this or know what could cause it?

check for spiders and stuff in the jets/orifice.

nothing there. i was able to shake some rust out of it, but that didn't do anything to change the problem. flame never gets bigger than when it's first lit.

Perhaps you triggered the excess flow valve in the regulator. The reg should be closed when you open the tank valve, then open the reg slowly and light the burner...
