I brewed an old ale over a month ago. OG 1.090. Transferred to a 5 gal better bottle to bulk age for a few months. My batch ended up short of 5 gals. Is this to much head space? I know a layer of co2 will form a little to protect the beer. Or should I just age this in bottles and not risk oxidation

thats how all my bulk aged beers look like. Never had a problem. Just try not to splash the beer around. Just sit it in 1 spot and let it age. Percentage wise its way less head space then a ale pail.

If you're worried, you can add a wine saver gas, can buy them in most liquor stores.

That's not a bad idea. That way I can bulk age it longer and not have to worry about it.
