I found a local plumbing store that had 1/2" nipples and couplings for WAAAY cheaper than what I've been paying via northernbrewer (of course). I only now need the o-rings, stainless washers, and lock nut.
I'm building this:

And here are the McMaster-Carr parts I've put together; tell me if they'll work:
9396K431 - Silicone O-rings (fits 11/16" OD tube, 0.863" ID and 1.095 OD)
98126A662 - SS Washers (7/8" ID, 1_3/8" OD, 0.03" thick)
4429K124 - Brass Lock Nut (1/2", 14 threads/inch, 1/4" thick)
