"And it looks a lot like a craft beer. For the first time in eight years, Bud Light has a new look. The new beer can design is still the brands trademark blue, but the designsincluding the reintroduction of the historic AB brewer crest for the first time in 14 yearsimitate the intricate prints on many craft beers. The brand, which is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev BUD -0.26% , is also working on a new tagline in time for the Super Bowl."
In 2016, well put a more modern twist on Bud Light, from the way the brand looks to the way it acts, Bud Lights vice president of marketing Alexander Lambrecht said in a press release. Were proud to introduce our fresh new look, which pays homage to our most iconic packaging of the past, yet feels current and unique with its bolder logo and distinctive blue colorway. Its a design that truly stands out from whats become a sea of sameness in the light beer category.
okaaaaay...but the beer is still the same inside, so really no true difference where it really counts.
Exactly, when you're a highly paid corporate ****** bag you get paid a lot of money to blow a lot of hot air up everyone's ass.
The Absolut Vodka people are gonna be pissed Bud stole their font.
Designed the hard way, no doubt.

Im surprised the universe didnt collapse into a black hole from the sheer irony of this statement
This tag line really cracks me up... cause you know... running an automated brewery from a control room in another building is really 'the hard way'.
Well SOMETHING has to set them apart, right?
Making that consistent of a product at that volume from variable sources and ag products isn't hard? Please, tell me more.
New can looks cool. I'm not buying it but someone sure is.

are we going down that road again? McDonald's make the best burgers since they are consistent in high volumes. no matter how many times they change their packaging.
