Good for them.

I'm still not drinking it and no real beer drinker will either. But still, good on them for the marketing tactic

Just think of all the millions of dollars they wasted to change the look of their can... I bet those d bags could tell you exactly how much.

"And it looks a lot like a craft beer. For the first time in eight years, Bud Light has a new look. The new beer can design is still the brand’s trademark blue, but the designs—including the reintroduction of the historic “AB” brewer crest for the first time in 14 years—imitate the intricate prints on many craft beers. The brand, which is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev BUD -0.26% , is also working on a new tagline in time for the Super Bowl."

“In 2016, we’ll put a more modern twist on Bud Light, from the way the brand looks to the way it acts,” Bud Light’s vice president of marketing Alexander Lambrecht said in a press release. “We’re proud to introduce our fresh new look, which pays homage to our most iconic packaging of the past, yet feels current and unique with its bolder logo and distinctive blue colorway. It’s a design that truly stands out from what’s become a sea of sameness in the light beer category.”

okaaaaay...but the beer is still the same inside, so really no true difference where it really counts.

Full disclosure: My SWMBO used to own an ad agency that specialized in branding, so I understand the marketing thing, but they come off like they really changed something important about the brand! Yea right!

Exactly, when you're a highly paid corporate ****** bag you get paid a lot of money to blow a lot of hot air up everyone's ass.

I am not a beer snob, but I have to say that Bud Light is the worst beer on the market.

'you don't sell the steak, you sell the sizzle!'

The dog and pony show continues. So what? As they continue to absorb craft brands and try to steal craft nomenclature or craft esthetics, they just shift the paradigm further away from anything they grasp. It sucks to be the kid nobody wants to sit next to in the cafeteria. Some day craft beer will brag about being bath tub brew and they can try and be that as well. I still need a 12er of something to bring to parties I feel required to attend. Bud Light, you and your snazy new get up got my vote.

It doesn't look like craft beer cans I see. It looks more like a retro Bud Light can. Craft beer cans aren't usually that restrained.

Im surprised the universe didnt collapse into a black hole from the sheer irony of this statement

Well SOMETHING has to set them apart, right?

This tag line really cracks me up... cause you know... running an automated brewery from a control room in another building is really 'the hard way'.

Making that consistent of a product at that volume from variable sources and ag products isn't hard? Please, tell me more.

New can looks cool. I'm not buying it but someone sure is.

are we going down that road again? McDonald's make the best burgers since they are consistent in high volumes. no matter how many times they change their packaging.
