Hi everyone,
Brand new to this hobby and did my first batch past monday. By tuesday my airlock was bubbling away, but by thursday it had stopped. The recipe called for two weeks in the fermenting bucket. Is this normal?

Totally normal. People around here will say that the airlock is not a good gauge of fermentation, which is correct. Still, the most active fermentation which can produce a lot of bubbling in the airlock is usually over in a day or so. I'm sure you'll be fine, just give it at least the recommended two weeks!

The yeast activity does not stop when the bubbling stops. The bubbling happens when the yeast are eating the easy sugars but yeast do far more than that. Give it a minimum of 2 weeks and I think 3 is better.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Will let it sit for another week then move to secondary
