Anybody ever see small bunches of bubbles on the top of their brew as it sits in the primary well after the brunt of the fermentation has stopped? I've always racked to secondary in the past, but on my recent ESB, I've just let it sit in the primary... 2 weeks now. All the crausen has dropped and fermentation is all but complete, but unlike when I secondary and the top becomes crystal clear (no floaties, bubbles, etc) there are groups of bubbles all over the top of the beer. If you watch closely, one will pop from time to time, and another will form... I just assume the last few die-hard yeasties are still working while the union folks have long since went to sleep. I'm not really worried about it, just kind of curious....?
