When I brewed my red ale, I used an 'Ale Pail' bucket fermenter. I didn't get to see the fermenting process, which made me sad. So...
I got a Better Bottle for my second beer. My Irish Stout is sitting next to my fishtank, bubbling away...I never even saw any bubbles in the airlock with the red ale (must have happened while I was asleep or at work).
With this stout, there's about an inch of thick, creamy-looking krausen...think of the top of a well-made cappucino.
There's no question in this post, just a sense of well-being and accomplishment that I wanted to share.
