So ummm. I think ive posted more than once before that im a big time Bruery anniversary old ale fan. In the past I have enjoyed said beers so much that ive banked on them being the main reason im a club member.

This weekend I popped and shared all 9 versions of sucre. Honestly, I cant say that I enjoyed any of them all that much. They are only a yearish old and oxidation was noticeable (I said this about BOIS too when it was only a year in the bottle.) In all seriousness, none of the versions were what I would consider a standout. Except the new oak version which was pretty terrible. I expected tequilla to be dumpster trash and was surprised that it was ok. I think port or cognac was my favorite but many of them were so similar that at times we forgot which versions we had in our glasses. (Or maybe we were just drunk after 5 of the 9.)

I hate on them more because I can't just pop open a beer of theirs and enjoy it on a given night. 80% of the stuff they crank out would go better in a 12oz or 500ml bottle. But nah, dawg, gotta keep that wine spectator look going.

Oh yeah, and they don't crank out **** like Run BMC all that often.

I dunno, that's their style. Why clog shelves with another 4 pack?

I would rather they continue to try making all sorts of different and unusual beers like they do. To many people get there tits in a twist over a beer they don't like by them and forget all the other great beers they make.

We did bourbon and port Sucre side by side at a tasting I helped put on at a local bottle shop a few weeks back, and everyone agreed that while bourbon was good, port Sucre was drinking outstanding. Definitely one of my favorite barrel variants.

Don't feel too bad, I forgot to buy Bourgogne Blanc. Which was like the 1 new beer I was really looking forward to this year.

Speaking of which, it looks like they have some extras of Bourgogne Blanc up on their website right now at 1 per Hoarder. If there are any Hoarders out there that don't want their 1 bottle, I'd be happy to trade something for it.

Also: no public sale for RS 2016

StarRaptradamus for the win

The tasting room has been constantly busy for a couple years now, I don't think it's necessarily a reflection of people being willing to spend $300 on the RS.
yes and every year they sell out faster and faster

Demand for RS Spots is greater than Supply of RS Spots

I'm willing to bet that in the near future (as early as next year 2016 society) the only way into RS will be as a Preservation as they have access to join before the public

All the Bois variants are drinking very well right now. I thought it was good when it released but now it is a whole different beast. It has become outstanding.

man this month's allotments are pretty uninspiring.

that leaves what, 22 remaining for RS for "2015".

lets us not forget that just because beers were promised to us in 2015 does not mean they cant hold them until they are ready for us in 2017

I like that they're lower ABV, but a standard Saison and a Pilsner? Meh Ride the Goat being a lower bottle count was also disappointing. They should stop making Mash, it's the most bland BBABW I have ever tasted.
