Just getting back into brewing after a few years off. I am looking for a good brown ale recipe similar to Newcastle. Does anyone have an extract/specialty grains recipe that they are particularly proud of, and are willing to share? I didn't see one on the recipe thread.

thanks!

Here is the one I did. BTW my wife loves it!!!

3 kg LME (light)
.5 kg DME (light)

125 g Brown Malt
125 g Chocolate malt
250 g Caramel 120
1 kg Marris Otter

28 g Willamette at 60 min
28 g Willamette at 30 min

White Labs California Ale

Steeped grains at 70C for 60 min.
At boil, added 2kg LME. Boil 60 min.
add hops at appropriate times.
add the rest of LME and DME at end of boil.
1 week primary 2 weeks secondary

Brewed it Saturday. Changed from metric & reduced to 5 gallons.

Added Victory malt for a "nutty" flavor
