i have a brown ale that has been in the primary for almost 2 weeks. fermentation is done and i dont want to secondary it. would it be ok to bottle now or should i give it more time?

More time certainly wouldn't hurt, but if fermentation is complete you can safely bottle. If you're not going to secondary I might think about giving it another week to bulk condition though.

Take a hydrometer reading today, then take one tomorrow, if they are unchanged, go ahead and bottle. My guess is that after 2 weeks you should be good to go, but I would check it just to make sure (bottle bombs are not fun).
