I fell in love with the Best Bitter on cask when I visited Spotted Pig in the West Village last December. This is a wonderfully smooth and slightly orangey tasting beer pleasantly different from the usual Best pub ales.

I'm working on a clone, and according to Brooklyn Brewery's web site, the "house ale yeast" is the source of the orangey flavors.

I'd be willing to go so far as collect a sample to harvest from, but I'm not going to be back in NYC any time soon, and the almost 2 hr wait to get a table (whenever I'm there...) is kind of a non-starter.

Can anyone suggest a reasonable choice for these orange like flavors they speak of?
